Barrett and Richmond

April Michelle Barrett of Kingsport, Tenn., and Andrew Clarence Richmond of Gray, Tenn., plan to be married at 4:30 p.m., June 1, 2013, at the Historic Allandale Mansion in Kingsport.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Eddie and Sandra Barrett of Kingsport, and the granddaughter of Paul Lewis and Faye Lewis of Kingsport, and the late Glen and Ruth Barrett, formerly of Kingsport. She graduated summa cum laude from East Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is currently working on a master’s degree in secondary education with an emphasis on the middle grades. She is employed as a teacher at East Side Elementary School, Elizabethton.

The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Robert and Cindy Richmond of Gray, and the grandson of Charles and Bettye Mills of Johnson City, and the late James and Betty Richmond, formerly of Washington, D.C. He graduated cum laude from East Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in vocal music education. He is employed as a music and chorus teacher at Bluff City Middle School, Bluff City.
