Peters and McDavid

April Dawn Peters and Clinton Nathan McDavid, both of Kingsport, Tenn., plan to be married June 8, 2013, at Maple Lane Farms, Johnson City.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Jerry and Sandra Peters of Kingsport, and the granddaughter of the late Clarence and Marie Wallen, formerly of Kingsport; Jack Peters Sr. of Norton, Va., and the late Emma Peters formerly of Norton, Va. April received a Bachelor of Science Degree with a concentration in Radiography from East Tennessee State University. She then continued her education at Chattanooga State Community College, where she completed two years of study in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Certification Program. She is employed as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at a local family practice doctor’s office.

The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Anthony “Tony” and Cammie McDavid of Kingsport, and the grandson of the late David T. “Tommie” Newman and Nell C. Newman of Blountville; the late Ed McDavid, formerly of Kingsport; and Midge McDavid of Blountville. Clint received a Bachelor of Science Degree with a concentration in Health Service Management from East Carolina University, Greenville, N.C., where he was a four-year Varsity Division One swimmer. He is employed as an orthopedic sales representative for the Kingsport, and Johnson City area.
