KINGSPORT — Twin NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Wallace Kia Late Model Stock features provided twice the excitement at Kingsport Speedway on Friday night when Chad Finchum of Knoxville and Adam Long of Pounding Mill, Va., both drove away with wins.

Finchum was fast at the start and at the finish in the first 35-lapper. He posted a qualifying time of 15.132 seconds to edge Kres VanDyke's 15.150 and earn the pole before battling his way to his fourth win of the season.

VanDyke of Claypool Hill, Va., Zeke Shell of Johnson City, Long and Zack Walton of Blountville rounded out the top five.

The top four finishers from the first race were inverted for the second twin 35-lap feature, putting Long on the pole position and Shell on the outside of the front row.

Long jumped out front at the drop of the green and he never let up in the caution-free race, driving to his first victory of the season. VanDyke, Finchum, Ronnie McCarty and Lee Tissot completed the top five.

In Street Stock, Kingsport's Royce Peters raced to his second division victory of the season, outrunning Nick Cole, Rob Austin, Jared Broadbent and Chris Tunnell.

John Ketron picked up his division-leading sixth Pure 4 victory of 2014 over sons Jason and Billy, making it a Ketron family sweep of the top three positions for the second time this season.

Fourth-place finisher Keith Helton didn't go home empty-handed, though.

Century 21 Pro Service Realtors agent Teresa Isaac of Johnson City offered a $500 bonus to one of the top-five finishers in the 25-lap Pure 4 event. At the conclusion of the race, the three Ketrons, Helton and fifth-place Kenny Absher parked on the front straightaway around Victory Lane for the roll of the dice. It landed on four, and Helton took home the special jackpot.

In other action, Rusty Clendenin of Church Hill pocketed his Rookie Pure 4 division-leading fifth victory, Kirby Gobble of Abingdon earned his sixth straight Mod 4 victory and Kingsport's Trey Lane recorded his third Legends win.
