Weather forces Fun Fest Concert inside and forces other changes (updated)

UPDATE: 4:55 p.m.

The Fun Fest Balloon Glow, scheduled for Friday evening, has been canceled due to inclement weather.

According to Fun Fest officials, the weather is continuing to force changes in the schedule and the location of various events. So festival goers are encouraged to continue to watch for updates.

Saturday's Cornhole Tournament, originally set to take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Indian Highland Park, is being moved to Hall B at MeadowView Convention Center.

The Kingsport Convention and Visitors Bureau reports tonight's Martina McBride concert will not be taking place at J. Fred Johnson Stadium.

According to a press release:

The show must go on!

Due to the impending weather forecast, tonight's Fun Fest Concert featuring Martina McBride will be moved to the Buck Van Huss Dome at Dobyns-Bennett High School.

Ticket holders will enter at the main entrance of the dome. You do not need to bring your own chairs.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and Michael Ray will begin at approximately 7 p.m. followed by Martina McBride.

A limited number of tickets are still available and can be purchased at the Fun Fest Store at the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce until 2 p.m. or at the Dome entrance or at the Fun Fest Tent at the Taste beginning at 4 p.m.
