BRISTOL, Va. — A sacrifice fly by Kingsport's Oswald Caraballo plated Luis Guillorme to tie Monday night's game with the Bristol Pirates at 7 just before the rains came again and suspended play.
The Appalachian League game will resume with two outs in the top of the seventh when the teams meet again in August.
The start of the game was delayed by about 1 1/2 hours because of rain.
K-Mets right fielder Wuilmer Becerra contributed significantly to the comeback, stroking solo home runs in the fifth and sixth innings. Eudor Garcia had an RBI double for Kingsport (10-14), which returns to action Wednesday night against Burlington at Hunter Wright Stadium.comments powered by Disqus
