BULLS GAP — Knoxville's Billy Ogle Jr. was the class of the field Saturday night when the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series made its second appearance of the season at Volunteer Speedway.

Ogle Jr. set fast time over Chad Ogle during qualifying for the 24-car field. Ogle Jr. then rocketed out to the lead at the start of the Carolinas vs. Tennessee Clash at The Gap and never looked back on his way to the $4,000 victory.

"Man, this (Clash at The Gap) championship belt is one of the coolest things I've ever gotten for winning a race," the race winner said in a release from the racetrack. "It's good to win for all us Tennessee racers to keep the bragging rights in the Volunteer State."

Vic Hill finished second in the 40-lap event, followed by Chad Ogle, Anthony Burroughs and Kennie Compton Jr.

Other winners on the night were Jason Trammell (Steel-Head Late Models), Jason Welshan (Crate Late Models) and Kurt Owens (Modified Hobby).
