City woman allegedly jumped on fiance from dresser, arrested for simple assault

Lesha McClellan

A Kingsport woman was arrested for simple assault after twice head butting her boyfriend and jumping onto him from atop a dresser, according to a police report.

Officer Grady White was dispatched to a complaint at 130 W. Ravine Road. When he arrived, he spoke with the victim, who stated he and his fiance, Lesha McClellan, 31, 1307 Olterman Pvt Drive, Kingsport, had been in an argument.

According to the victim, he had gone to the store to get some cigarettes and said McClellan was in the bedroom with her back towards him when he returned. The victim stated his fiance turned around and began to scream and cuss him.

When the victim tried to retrieve a T-shirt, McClellan allegedly head butted him in the nose. When he tried to put his hand out to keep her away, she allegedly knocked his hand away and head butted him in the chin, which in turn knocked him on the bed.

McClellan then reportedly climbed a four foot dresser and jumped on the victim while he was still in the bed. The victim told Officer White he may have dislocated his shoulder because of McClellan's actions.

McClellan told officers they had been arguing, but she did not hit her fiance. The victim was given a copy of the domestic abuse victim rights form and informational pamphlets. Officer White then determined McClellan was the primary aggressor and she was arrested for simple assault and taken to the Kingsport City Jail.
