DANNIELE DENNISE GEER
CHURCH HILL — Last month Church Hill launched an investigation into allegations that a woman who had moved into an apartment on Stroupe Court had "set up shop" and was trafficking heavily in narcotic drug transactions.
CHPD Chief Mark Johnson said his department received numerous tips about Danniele Dennise Geer, 27, 730 Stroupe Court Apt. 223, prompting Detective Kevin Grigsby to begin conducting surveillance.
As a result of his investigation Grigsby acquired enough evidence to merit obtaining a search warrant for the apartment where Geer resides alone.
Around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Church Hill officers and an agent with the Third Judicial District Drug Task Force executed that search warrant and allegedly seized dozens of pills including unspecified quantities of Suboxone, Diazepam, and Clonazepam.
Officers also allegedly seized various items of drug paraphernalia from the apartment including baggies with a white powder residue, syringes, and spoons with both burn marks and powder residue on them.
Geer's cell phone was also seized, and police allegedly viewed numerous text messages on her phone which indicated that she has been engaged in the sale of narcotic drugs.
Geer was charged with possession of Schedule III narcotics with intent to deliver, possession of Schedule IV narcotics with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are used, sold or stored.
As of Friday afternoon Geer remained held in the Hawkins County Jail on $5,000 bond, with arraignment scheduled for June 16.comments powered by Disqus
