Several fund-raisers set for this weekend

Homeschooling

A presentation on the Challenge homeschool program for seventh- through 12th-graders, will be held at 7:15 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday at Panera Bread, 1880 N. Eastman Road, Kingsport. RSVP to challengea.lori@gmail.com.

Fund-raisers

Calvary Freewill Baptist Church 965 Fordtown Road, Kingsport, will hold a yard sale, sponsored by the youth, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., today and Saturday.

Central Baptist Singers Alumni will hold a fish fry from noon to 8 p.m., every Friday and Saturday at 1029 Dale St. Kingsport. Deliveries are available between 11 a.m. and noon. Call (423) 276-7332. Proceeds benefit the CBS Alumni, the Pinkie Horton Scholarship Fund and Youth Gospel Explosion.

Phipps Bend Free Will Baptist Church, 2857 Hwy. 11W, Surgoinsville, will hold a big country breakfast, from 7:30 to 10 a.m., Saturday. All proceeds to benefit the building fund and ladies auxiliary.

Boones Creek United Methodist Church, 110 Mary St., will hold a community yard sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday and a barbecue dinner from 3 to 7 p.m., Saturday. The yard sale is sponsored by the Boones Creek UMW. Cost for dinner is $8 for those 12 and older and $4 for children younger than 12. Take-outs available. The dinner is sponsored by the Boones Creek United Methodist Men and the funds raised will be used for outreach.
