A Saturday event hosted by the Kingsport Police Department and Burlington Coat Factory will put child vehicle safety in the spotlight, while also offering kid-oriented entertainment.

From noon to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of the retailer, 1116 E. Stone Drive, KPD officers will inspect and install child safety seats, along with providing educational materials. Parents are encouraged to stop by and ensure their children's seats are properly installed.

KPD Public Information Officer Tom Patton says plenty of entertainment will be on hand for children, including NWA wrestlers and race cars from Kingsport Speedway. Also scheduled to make appearances are Buffalo Wild Wings' "Buffy the Buffalo," "Little Caesar" from Little Caesar's Pizza and "Andy the Armadillo" from Texas Roadhouse.

For additional information contact Burlington Coat Factory representatives at (423) 480-5104.
