UVa-Wise to offer 'True Colors' seminar

ABINGDON — The University of Virginia's College at Wise Office of Economic Development will host a leadership seminar, "True Colors — Maximizing Team Performance," from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., May 14, at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon.

The college said True Colors is a fun and interactive workshop designed to provide insight into individuals and team members that can be used to build and strengthen leadership skills to move an organization forward.

The hands-on, interactive workshop will guide participants through the True Colors foundational experience. Practical and useful activities apply the concepts to both personal and professional lives. Understanding the similarities and differences of people leads to improved communications skills, a greater appreciation for the uniqueness of self and others, and more meaningful relationships.

A True Colors personal success workshop introduces participants to an easy and highly effective personality and communications tool, according to the college.

Tuition for the workshop is $120 and includes course materials, lunch and refreshments. Preregistration is required and enrollment is limited.
