Couponing 101: Lowe's

It seems as though there is ALWAYS something to do around the house. Home improvement can quickly become expensive, but there are some couponing tricks to help save.

Coupons
Lowe's will accept manufacturer coupons. Lowe's also sends out store coupons for $10 or $25 off a minimum purchase.

Purchase discounted gift cards
Purchase discounted gift cards at sites, such as GiftCardGranny.com (http://www.giftcardgranny.com). As of Tuesday, April 22, discounts varied from 4 percent to 17 percent.

Moving?
Lowes offers a "Moving Program" to help customers with moving costs. Register at the following link to receive offers and promotions related to moving expenses: http://www.lowes.com/cd_Coupon+Registration_25364... Many coupon bloggers have indicated that they have received a 10 percent off coupon.

Military Discount
Per the Lowes' web site at http://www.lowes.com :
"To qualify for the Everyday 10 percent Military Discount, you must:
Be currently serving in, or retired from, a qualifying branch of the Armed Services, or be the immediate family member of someone who is and have a valid military ID Card.

"Or: be a Veteran who receives VA benefits and have a valid Veteran Identification Card (VIC).

"We honor all Veterans on three specific holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July and Veterans Day. During these three holiday weekends, we extend the discount to all veterans who served honorably and who present a valid Form DD214 or other proof of service. The Lowe's Military Discount is extended to the Veteran community on these three holidays only."

The Military Discount must be used on personal purchases only and cannot be used for Lowes.com purchases, previous sales, or the purchase of gift cards or services including product installations. It cannot be combined with the Lowe's Price Guarantee, or promotions such as "Spend and Get," "New Mover," "Project Starter," "Your Choice," or discounts such as Quote Support Program (QSP) quotes.

(1 Armed Services — US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, US Marine Corps, US Coast Guard, or the National Guard and who are in active, reserve, or retired status.

Shopping portals, such as Ebates (http://www.ebates.com) or MyPoints (http://www.mypoints.com) offer cash back incentives for doing your shopping on-line.

Join the Garden Club
Sign up for promotions and offers for gardening supplies at Lowe's Garden Club. In the past they have had some very good plant coupons.

Price Match
Lowe's will not only price match to competitors' ads, they will beat their prices by 10 percent. 

Rebates
Check the Lowe's Rebate Center to see if your purchase qualifies for any rebates. Also, check the product's home company and see if there are any rebates.

DIY Workshops
Lowe's offers FREE "Do It Yourself" workshops, which can save you a ton on labor costs.
