Washington County Sheriff Ed Graybeal said the driver of a pickup truck may have been killed after he or she pulled into the path of an oncoming cement truck.
At around 5 p.m. Monday, authorities responded to the intersection of Bobby Hicks Highway and Sam Jenkins Road after hearing reports that a cement truck had crashed into a pickup containing two people.
The driver of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger was taken to Johnson City Medical Center for treatment of injuries. The cement truck driver did not receive medical attention.
