Fiddler Carson Peters, Has-Beens to play at fund-raiser

KINGSPORT — St. Paul's Episcopal Church Youth Group will host a fund-raiser dinner/dance with musical entertainment on Friday, May 2 from 6 to 9:30 p.m.

Proceeds will help support the group's 2014 mission trip to New Orleans planned for June.

Music will be provided by Carson Peters, a 10-year-old fiddle player who has appeared on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" and recently performed with Ricky Scaggs at the Grand Ole Opry.

In addition to Peters, the Has Beens will play big band sounds at the event.

The church youth will prepare a spaghetti dinner in the church parish hall, Berndt Hall, and will provide table service.
Dinner includes salad, spaghetti with sauce, garlic bread, dessert, coffee and tea.

Tickets are $15 per person and will be sold in advance and at the door.
