Be sure to hop over to Downtown Jonesborough on Saturday, April 12 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for the annual Easter Eggstravaganza event. Taking place behind the Christopher Taylor Cabin in Storytelling Park, there will be lots of free activities including pictures with the Easter Bunny, cotton candy, popcorn, face painting, a balloon artist, petting zoo, as well as games and crafts.
Make sure you stick around for the egg hunt too, with over 4,000 filled eggs. This event is for children ages 12 and under and is brought to you by Main Street Jonesborough and the following sponsors: Food City, Walgreens, Johnson City Power Board, First Tennessee Bank, Jonesborough Kiwanis Club and Jonesborough Parks and Recreation.
Following the children's egg hunt, the popular Hunt for the Golden Egg returns for its third year with real gold coins and prizes for all ages. Clue sheets will be handed out in front of the Lollipop Shop in downtown Jonesborough beginning at 3 p.m.
