KINGSPORT — Spring break is coming up for Kingsport City Schools, and the Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department has lots of fun activities scheduled for the week.

One of the events planned at the V.O. Dobbins Sr. Complex, 301 Louis Street, is an Easter Coloring Contest. Stop by the complex between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Monday, March 31 through Thursday, April 3 and let your kids express their artistic talent. Parks & Rec will provide the picture and all the coloring items needed. All the kids need to bring is their talent and coloring skills!

Age categories are 2-3, 4-6 and 7-10.

Winners will be announced at the Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, April 4. Prizes will be awarded in each category.

The Easter Egg Hunt will take place from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at the V.O. Dobbins Sr. Complex field. Three hunts will be held with children divided into age groups: 2-3, 4-6 and 7-10. There also will be a movie, "Here Comes Peter Cottontail."
