A Washington County man was stabbed eight times in the lower back after allegedly breaking into a Gray apartment and getting into an argument with the resident Wednesday night.

It happened around 10 p.m. Wednesday at 131 Bob Fitz Road #5, according to Washington County Sheriff Ed Graybeal, but no charges were filed in the case yet. Officers were sent to the scene after a call to 911 about a man who had been stabbed.

The victim, Cody Honeycutt, 21, 11 Welcome Court, Gray, is accused if forcing his way into the Bob Fitz Road apartment where Robert Rose, 23, lives. Investigators said the men got into a physical altercation that continued to the parking lot where Honeycutt was stabbed.
