KINGSPORT — Price Less Foods is opening a third Kingsport store today.

The store is located at 4320A W. Stone Drive in the Allandale Market Place shopping center in west Kingsport.

Price Less Foods is a cost-plus format grocery store chain offering products to customers at 10 percent above the store's cost.

"Our concept has really resonated with shoppers in East Tennessee," said Randall Tipton, division manager for Houchens Industries, parent company of Price Less Foods. "...Unlike most traditional grocery stores, we don't have sales gimmicks, costly membership programs or make shoppers jump through hoops to save on their groceries. Our cost to get products to the customer is right on the shelf. The customer then pays a flat 10 percent on top of that cost at checkout. Regardless of the day or week the customers shop, they will find consistent low prices all across the store."

The latest Kingsport location is Houchens' 33rd Price Less store and the seventh in the East Tennessee area.

In recognition of the store's grand opening weekend, the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will be at the new Price Less Foods on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Wienermobile will also be stationed at the Price Less Foods at 3006 John B. Dennis Highway from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
