Hawkins County Sheriff's Office
A woman was observed outside the Justice Center unsteady on her feet, with slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. While attempting to get into her vehicle she was stopped by police, at which time she performed poorly on field sobriety tests. An officer also notes that her shoes were on the wrong feet. She was arrested for public intoxication.
Police were called to a probation office in Rogersville, where employees had "heard something fall into the toilet" as a woman took a urine test. A black cap was found floating in the water, with the woman then removing a small bottle from her vagina. She admitted it contained another individual's urine, as she feared she would have tested positive for marijuana and Subutex. She was arrested for falsifying the results of a drug test.
A Whitesburg woman reported being assaulted by her brother, who head-butted her in the nose. He allegedly became angry while burning trash at her home, due to her telling him to "clean up his mess before he left." He fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Sullivan County Sheriff's Office
A welfare check was requested at a Kingsport home, where someone feared that a drunk man may wake up and stab him.
A man just released from jail visited the home of a family member — who has a no contact order against him — then opened a window and "started yelling" into the residence.
A pizza delivery driver was allegedly traveling recklessly and "cutting people off" on Silver Grove Road.
A woman asked police to contact a man who she had been unable to reach, saying she is "real sick" and needs him to call her. When located by police the man refused to check on the woman, saying she "was just wanting money" that he couldn't provide.
Police were asked to be on the lookout for indecent exposure, as a man has been going to his girlfriend's house "with no clothes."
Officers responded to a dispute at a Kingsport residence, where a man became irate with his girlfriend for, "not cleaning the house fast enough." As the incident escalated he reportedly pushed the woman, who is five months pregnant, into a door frame, and repeatedly called her fat and lazy. He was arrested at the scene for assault.
A Fall Branch resident told dispatchers that a diesel truck had "blew smoke" over his car. The truck driver then tailgated the caller all the way home, stopping in the roadway and yelling.
A Kingsport man reported theft by an acquaintance. The suspect allegedly took cash from the complainant under the pretense of purchasing him cigarettes, but had yet to return with either the smokes or money.
