Local groups to sing at services Saturday and Sunday

Singings

AHERN Inc., an African American communication ministry will hold its Seventh Annual GospelFest at 5 p.m., Saturday, at Lee Street Baptist Church, 1 W. Mary St., Bristol, Va. Various groups from the Tri-Cities will sing two to three songs. All proceeds will go to the operational expenses of AHERNews, formerly Fellowship Today Magazine.

New Heart and Jeff Watson will sing during the regular second Saturday night singing at Durham’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church at 6:30 p.m., Saturday.

Louis Hill and Pastor Chip McLain will sing at 7 p.m., Saturday at Solomon’s Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 7659 Lone Star Road.

Mike and Dottie Lane, Long Hollow Singers and House Chapel Choir will sing during a benefit for Powell Smith and family at 7 p.m., Saturday at Jenkins Chapel Church, 4121 Stanley Valley Road.

Born Again will sing at 10 a.m., Sunday at Lawson Memorial Church.

Sacred Harmony will be in concert at 11 a.m., Sunday at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 400 Old Airport Road. Bristol, Va.

Downpour Singers will sing at 6 p.m., Sunday at Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church, 21503 Benhams Road, Bristol, Va.

The Salyers Family, the Tipton Family and the Lights for Christ will sing at 7 p.m., Sunday at Liberty Primitive Baptist Church, Cherry Street, Mount Carmel.
