KINGSPORT — Everyone loves a good deal, and an upcoming offer from IHOP will be too good to refuse.
The national restaurant chain will once again hold National Pancake Day Tuesday, March 4, to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The arrangement is simple: The restaurant will serve a free short stack of pancakes, and guests can donate the cost of the flapjacks — or more if they prefer — to Children’s Miracle Network.
Participating IHOP restaurants in the region will offer this special.
Wellmont Health System has been the regional affiliate of Children’s Miracle Network for more than 25 years. All money raised locally for Children’s Miracle Network stays in the area to benefit children’s health. Wellmont uses proceeds to purchase equipment for its pediatric departments, neonatal intensive care unit and emergency departments and to fund community partnerships that advance children’s health.
Todd Norris, Wellmont’s senior vice president for system advancement and president of Wellmont Foundation, said National Pancake Day is a great tradition.
“We appreciate IHOP for helping address the needs of children who require care in our hospitals,” Norris said. “Corporate sponsors, such as IHOP, and individuals throughout our region make a tremendous difference in the quality of life for children entrusted to our care. We thank everyone who donates on National Pancake Day and every other day of the year for assisting us with the healing of children.”comments powered by Disqus
