ABINGDON — ’Round the Mountain will hold a jury session for Heartwood: Southwest Virginia’s Artisan Gateway on March 11, the first of two jury sessions scheduled for this year. The second session is scheduled for Sept. 11.
Only juried members of ’Round the Mountain: Southwest Virginia’s Artisan Network are eligible to have their work considered for sale at Heartwood, and the opportunity to demonstrate at Heartwood, represent Heartwood and Southwest Virginia at festivals and shows, and participate in other special exhibits.
Applications for ’Round the Mountain jury sessions may be mailed, hand delivered or submitted online. No emailed or faxed applications will be accepted. Do not submit work or images with an application.
Eligible applicants must deliver their work to the ’Round the Mountain office in Abingdon the week of March 7. Details on how to deliver works will be provided upon jury confirmation.
All work submitted through the jury process must be available for sale. However, Heartwood is not required to purchase the submitted work. Heartwood may purchase some, all or none of the five pieces to be submitted for jury.
Once juried, artisans may contact Heartwood’s buyer about purchasing other pieces in the category in which they have been juried.
Jury criteria and printable applications are available at www.roundthemountain.org with application deadline of Feb. 21. Mail or deliver an application (or have completed online) to ’Round the Mountain, One Heartwood Circle, Abingdon, VA 24210.
