Daniel Boone's Allison Littleton looks over the Sullivan Central defense during a Big 7 matchup in the Dickie Warren Dome on Thursday.
BLOUNTVILLE — Daniel Boone built a little momentum heading into next week’s District 1-AAA basketball tournament by sweeping Sullivan Central on the road Thursday night.
The Trailblazers forced 27 turnovers and took control of the game with a 13-0 run at the beginning of the second half en route to a 75-46 win in Big 7 Conference play. The Lady Trailblazers started the game on a 19-2 run and cruised to a 54-39 victory.
Central’s boys missed 18 straight shots at one point and fell behind 48-19 in the third quarter as a result. Dillon Reppart had another strong night for Boone (15-13, 5-7), scoring a game-high 19 points. Holden Hensley dropped in 12 points and Gabe Sanders added 11 for the Trailblazers.
Lucas Parker came up with 14 points to lead Central (3-25, 0-12) and Nathan Wise added 10.
Boone’s girls built a 19-2 advantage before Central called a timeout with 4:30 remaining in the second quarter. The Lady Cougars (4-22, 0-12) actually outscored the Lady Trailblazers (17-11, 6-6) the rest of the way, but the deficit was too big to overcome.
Allison Littleton led Boone with 11 points.
