“[The LORD] has caused his wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate. He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever.” — Psalm 111:4-5 (NIV)
Does anyone else have trouble remembering? Sometimes it’s an inconsequential thing, like not remembering where the car keys are or where the cellphone is. Other times there are consequences — like when a birthday or anniversary is not remembered. Then there are the sad occasions when age and disease steal memories away and the ability to remember becomes an impossibility. Fortunately, God has a memory without boundaries. Furthermore, He gives us the gift of remembering all the wonders He has done for us. Even when our memories fade, God does not forget us.
Prayer: Eternal God, You remember us even we forget You. Help us to see Your wonders and remember Your promises to us forever. Amen.
