Man killed for texting in movie theater

A retired police officer in Florida shot a man to death for allegedly refusing to stop texting during a movie. 

Curtis Reeves, 71, Tampa,FL, is the alleged shooter. 

According to Gawker, Reeves and his wife were watching a matinee showing of Lone Survivor. Reeves asked the couple in front of them to stop texting. A confrontation happened and Reeves reportedly pulled out a handgun and shot the two people in front of him. 

Both victims were rushed to a hospital, where the man later died. Another movie goer detained Reeves until police arrived.
