Come out and join the fun at Farm Expo 2014 January 17-19 ,celebrating seventeen years of family based activities, entertainment and farming resources.
Although this event is a celebration of farmers, it provides the opportunity for local companies to showcase their service and products. Presenting an opportunity to meet future customers face to face and creating that all important first impression.
You will find something for the backyard gardener, the outdoor enthusiast, and kids of all ages. Great music and all sorts of farming/gardening related equipment and products will be on hand all weekend.
There will be plenty of trucks, tractors, ATVs and an assortment of farming/gardening related equipment and products to view. Along with the array of equipment, there will also be a Country Fair and Ladies Market. Enjoy shopping from a variety of unique and homemade items, such as fragrance, goat milk soap from Salem Farms and lavender products from A Lavender Manor, LLC.
Don't forget to bring the kids with you to Farm Expo. There will be a 4-H Playland and Petting Zoo. The zoo will feature horses, sheep, rabbits, alpacas and many more, in addition to fun and games for kids of all ages.
The kids' area will open for the weekend at 5:00 pm on Friday, January 17. There will be plenty of photo taking opportunities, so parents and grandparents don't forget to bring your camera to capture the kids having fun.
While the kids are playing on Friday evening, and after shopping, relax and enjoy listening to live gospel music.
Of course, the traditional favorites will still be going on this year. The Exchange Place will present an 1850's Farmstead; a display will be set up by the First Frontier Quilters of Kingsport, the long-time favorite Little Kids' Tractor Pull will all take place again at Farm Expo 2014.
A family favorite will take place on Sunday afternoon for the ice cream enthusiast. There will be an Ice Cream Social sponsored by Marble Slab Creamery. The rich sounds of bluegrass will be preformed as the Ice Cream Social takes place.

For the hunter in your family, the Appalachian Whitetail Association will score bucks free all weekend and award prizes for the best buck of this past season on Sunday afternoon.
Lastly, don't miss the announcement of the Farmer of the Year award on the main stage Saturday, January 18. This award is to recognize individuals for exemplary efforts in agriculture.
