Kingsport burglar climbs through pharmacy ceiling

Police are searching for a man who entered a Kingsport pharmacy by climbing through the ceiling of an adjacent, vacant store, then bolted when an alarm sounded.

Kingsport police say nothing was stolen during the Dec. 26 incident at CVS, 5215 Memorial Boulevard. According to a press release, the suspect forced entry through the door of an empty suite within the shopping plaza, then climbed into the ceiling.

After dropping down into the next door pharmacy an alarm sounded. Police say the alarm likely scared off the man, as nothing was stolen.

Police have released surveillance images of a suspect and his possible vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact KPD detectives at (423) 229-9429 or dial central dispatch at (423) 246-9111.
