Johnson City man arrested while donating plasma

JOHNSON CITY — A Johnson City man was arrested Tuesday at a local plasma donation center on a domestic violence charge that stemmed from a Christmas Eve assault, according to a Johnson City police press release.

Dave K. Rudolph, 53, 1409 E. Myrtle Ave., was hooked up to medical equipment to donate his plasma at Plasma Biological Services, 404 Ashe St., when police served the warrant for domestic aggravated assault.

The charge stems from a Christmas Eve assault at Rudolph's home, police said. The victim told officers that Rudolph held her at his home from Dec. 20 until Christmas Eve, when she was able to go to her cousin's home and call 911. The woman, Mary Campbell, told officers that Rudolph began drinking and started beating on her.
