Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is putting “Duck Dynasty” items back on its shelves and apologizing to its customers.
The Lebanon-based restaurant and retailer said Sunday morning that it “made a mistake” Friday when it announced it would remove products associated with the A&E Network reality show amid a controversy over a cast members’ comments in a magazine interview.
The company says on its Facebook page that it had hoped to avoid offending customers by removing the products but had triggered a backlash instead. Cracker Barrel’s initial announcement, also made on Facebook, has received more than 31,000 responses.
