Video: Couple steals video game systems from Kingsport Walmart

Nickelsville couple indicted in child abuse case

A Southwest Virginia woman and her live-in boyfriend were indicted on felony charges Tuesday by a Scott County grand jury for allegedly abusing a then 14-month-old child to such an extent that it required medical treatment for head injuries.

According to an arrest report, "when (the suspect) heard the traffic on my portable radio he would start to repeat it over and over again." His parroting of the police communications continued while at the hospital for a blood draw.

Woman claims ex tried to cause her to wreck, told her they should die

 A Johnson City woman told police she was driving her ex-boyfriend to an aunt’s house in Hawkins County Friday night when he allegedly “jerked” the steering wheel out of her hand attempting to crash the car, telling her they both should die.
