FORT MYERS, Fla. — The East Tennessee State men’s soccer team collected its second Atlantic Sun Conference championship title with a 3-1 win over North Florida on Sunday.
Nate Hodges, the tournament MVP, scored for the Bucs (10-5-4) in the 28th minute. Hodges, the A-Sun defensive player of the year, led the Bucs’ defense as they held the Ospreys (8-7-3) to just seven shots on the match.
Dante Brangman and Emmanuel Wilson added goals for ETSU in the win.
Joining Hodges on the all-tournament team were the Bucs' Ryan Coulter, Itode Fubara, David Geno, William Nordenstrom and Wilson.
ETSU earned an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament for the second time in program history. This year’s seniors also went to the NCAA tournament as freshmen in 2010.
