KINGSPORT — Pulitzer Orthodontics is moving into a new 5,000-square-foot facility accessible from the red-light intersection of East Stone Drive and John B. Dennis Highway.
The facility provides more space for interaction with patients and their parents, including a spacious clinic and a second consultation area. The development also includes 50 parking spaces; a reception area with a theater, Apple iMacs to enjoy, and guest Wi-Fi; a semi-private clinic chair for its growing adult patient population; a training center with conference space; and a cutting edge, paperless digital office for everything from patient records to X-rays.
The new office is open for business from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and a ribbon-cutting event is scheduled for 4 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 14. The public is invited to attend.
According to Drs. Sam Pulitzer and Cindy Pulitzer, a husband and wife team, “Our treatment philosophy is to educate our patients about the functional as well as esthetic benefits of orthodontics. We prefer to avoid extraction of permanent teeth whenever possible.” In line with a customer-focused, whole-hearted approach to service, Dr. Cindy Pulitzer says, “We value our team members and foster an environment of reduced stress and high confidence. On a regular basis, we provide professional training opportunities for our staff, through lectures, practicing new techniques and team building. We also have a pilot yoga class in the works for staff to promote general health and well-being.”
Additionally, Dr. Sam Pulitzer regularly lectures on orthodontic topics for dental groups around the Tri-Cities. “It’s a fun way to give back to the community while helping others continue their own education,” he says.
Pulitzer Orthodontics performs orthodontic treatments including metal and clear Damon Braces; clear aligner trays, an alternative to metal braces for adults, kids and teens; habit treatments for thumb-sucking and tongue-thrusting (preventative and early treatment when indicated); and laser treatments to speed up eruption of teeth during treatment and to shorten treatment times.
The business is located at 1200 Pulitzer Place. For more information, call (423) 246-3001 or go to www.pulitzerortho.com?.
