The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office will hold its annual Trunk-or-Treat on Halloween night.
The event was started by Sheriff Wayne Anderson five years ago to create a safer environment for children to collect candy and to give them an opportunity to meet SCSO officers.
In addition to various displays set up in the parking lot, children can also check out the haunted house inside the SCSO.
All children must be accompanied by an adult, and parents are asked to remember to bring a bag for their children to collect candy.
The event will be held from 6 until 9 p.m. at the sheriff’s office parking lot, located at 140 Blountville Bypass.
