KINGSPORT — Fifteen participants came out to compete in the Youth 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament held at the V.O. Dobbins Sr. Complex on Monday.
The event shared the day with two basketball drill sessions led by former collegiate player Devin Hundley. The session times were divided by age, and all who participated seemed to enjoy themselves while learning a thing or two about basketball.
Monday was the first day of the Fall Break Activities scheduled at the Dobbins complex for city students who are out of school this week.
Tuesday, Oct. 15: Cooking & a Movie 11 a.m.-3 p.m. (This class is full)
Wednesday, Oct. 16: Youth Luncheon with speaker Teddy Gaines 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; Nitroball 1-2 p.m. (Kids ages 8-17)
Thursday, Oct. 17: Youth Basketball Olympics 2-4 p.m. (Kids ages 8-16)
Friday, Oct. 18: Bag Lunch & Game Day 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (Kids ages 8-16) (must register by Wednesday)
