KINGSPORT — The bathroom stall door saga in Sullivan County high schools on the western end of the county continues.
Sullivan North Principal Brent Palmer was correct earlier this week when he said he and North Middle Principal Wayne King hadn’t had boys room stall doors removed at their schools, which are housed in the same building.
But it turns out many of the stalls, except in one bathroom, may have never had doors.
Maintenance Supervisor Joe Davenport is beginning to question if they even had stall doors when it opened in 1980.
“The doors don’t exist,” Davenport said Wednesday afternoon.
A projected cost of $325 to $450 per door makes new doors an expensive proposition, Davenport said.Read more in the Sunday print edition of the Times-News or in the expanded electronic edition.
