KINGSPORT — Sullivan County’s school board has given itself relatively low rankings on team building, community and one aspect of communications.
Two board members had a somewhat heated exchange on a track tour after the meeting.
However, the board in averaged rankings on a 1-to-6 scale, ranked itself higher on other aspects of communications, school improvement, governance, planning, motivation, influence and policy.
Board member Randall Jones said he found two results interesting: a 4.6 score on “Other members of our board have confidence and trust in me” but only a 3.4 on “I have confidence and trust in other members of our school board.”
