David Phillips, convicted for his role in a drag race that ended in a fiery crash that killed a local high school homecoming queen and seriously burned her friend in late September 2005, was released from prison Monday.
Phillips, 46, had been serving his sentence at Northeast Correctional Complex in Mountain City.
According to the Tennessee Department of Corrections, he was released Monday at the expiration of his sentence.
