KINGSPORT — Kingsport’s downtown post office is no longer on the market.
But it’s not because the property has been sold or is under contract with a prospective buyer.
On Monday, the United States Postal Service took the property off the market and has removed the listing from the USPS properties for sale website.
“From time to time, we have to take a step back from marketing and re-evaluate what we’re doing. This sometimes includes taking property off the market,” said USPS spokesman David Walton. “We haven’t received any offers that meet our expectations, so at the moment, we’re assessing what our best course forward is.”Read more in Monday’s print edition of the Times-News or in the expanded electronic edition.
