Bluff City burglar takes car, motorcycle

Police are searching for whomever kicked in the door of a Bluff City home on Wednesday, grabbed a pair of keys and made away with a motorcycle and car.

Sullivan County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Leslie Earhart said the incident is similar to others seen during the past month, and could be connected to those.

The most recent burglary occurred on Sells Road. The victims called police at approximately 3:30 p.m., saying they returned home to find a Ford Mustang and Kawasaki motorcycle were missing from their carport.

Police say one of the doors to the home had been kicked in, while the vehicles' keys were found missing from just inside the entryway. Cash and jewelry were also reported stolen from the residence.

Police believe the burglary occurred sometime between 8:15 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The stolen car is a maroon 1981 Ford Mustang with Tennessee tag 963-TTZ.

The motorcycle is a red 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250 with Tennessee tag 55Z-D41.
