BRISTOL, Tenn. — King's Summer Kremer was a double honoree on Tuesday.
The junior outside hitter, who led the Tornado volleyball team to a 3-0 record and a 2-0 Conference Carolinas mark last week, collected player of week honors from both the league and the Tennessee Sportswriters Association.
Kremer posted 47 kills and averaged 3.92 kills per set in the three victories. She also notched a .300 attack percentage, including a blistering .500 clip against Pfeiffer University on Saturday.
The Mill City, N.C., native registered 14 kills and five digs in a 3-2 victory at Virginia-Wise and followed that with 20 kills and eight digs in a 3-1 Conference Carolinas win against Belmont Abbey. Kremer added 13 kills in a sweep of Pfeiffer.
Kremer leads the Tornado and Conference Carolinas with 142 kills this season and 3.23 kills per set. She also ranks fifth in the league with a .274 attack percentage.
