NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A grand jury has handed down murder charges against a man and his girlfriend in the shooting deaths of a woman and three teenagers in a former mountain resort in eastern Tennessee.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said the Cumberland County grand jury on Friday indicted Jacob Allen Bennett and Lina Yvonn Moser on murder and attempted aggravated robbery charges. Bennett and Moser are alleged to have attempted to rob two of the victims during a marijuana exchange.
The 22-year-old woman and three boys, ages 16 and 17, were found dead in a car on Renegade Mountain on Sept. 12.
Bennett was arrested on a parole violation in neighboring Rhea County the day after the bodies were found. Moser was arrested Friday at her home in Dayton.
