A Scott County mother and her boyfriend have been arrested in connection with the "severe abuse" of her 14-month-old son, who reportedly had two black eyes and was found living in deplorable conditions. Read more:

2) CHPD releases photo of Food City robbery suspect, escape vehicle

Police are hoping the public can help them identify a man who robbed the Food City pharmacy in Church Hill Thursday of an undisclosed amount of pills. Read more:

3) Two charged in 2011 Kingsport murder; family calls arrests "bittersweet"

Hundreds of hours of investigation by Kingsport police, including interviews with more than five dozen individuals throughout Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, have led to a pair of arrests in a 2011 murder. Read more:

4) Man on bath salts thought demons were chasing him through Church Hill

Police said a man who was allegedly beating on residential doorways Friday evening with a piece of wood demanding entry to people's homes claimed he was being chased by demons who wanted to poison him. Read more:

5) Couple suspected of being on bath salts charged with public intoxication

Church Hill police responded to a complaint of a woman being chased by a man driving a pickup truck Sunday afternoon and ended up arresting the couple, who were allegedly high on bath salts. Read more:

6) Former bondsmen found guilty in Kingsport shooting incident

Two former Kingsport bondsmen have been found guilty on aggravated assault charges stemming from an incident that happened two years ago, when a rubber bullet was fired at a car. Read more:

7) Twins charged in theft of drain covers, vending machine

Kingsport twins face multiple charges, according to police, after they were caught stealing a Pepsi machine with a Ford Mustang that contained city-owned drain covers.  Read more:

8) Two indicted in alleged false claim for dead cattle

Two local  men — including a well-known Gate City veterinarian — were indicted earlier this week for allegedly submitting a false insurance claim for dead cattle. Read more:

9) Man gets thrown out of bar, threatens employees with box cutter

A man threatened employees of a local nightclub with a box cutter after being escorted off the property, according to a police report. Read more:

10) Kingsport family's brawl leads to stabbing

An argument between a Kingsport woman and her daughter allegedly escalated to attempted murder early Friday, when a Rutledge man stabbed his girlfriend's brother in the stomach. Read more:
