District Attorney General Tony Clark announced Tuesday he has decided not to try former Unicoi County sheriff Kent Harris on outstanding felony charges.
In a news release issued by Clark's office Tuesday, Clark said the decision was based on the outcomes of Harris' last three trials.
Harris' first trial on the charges of theft over $1,000 and criminal simulation ended in August 2012 when the jury in the case failed to reach a unanimous verdict.
