BRISTOL, Tenn. — The record breaking dive for Jerry Hall will come to an end Friday at around 2 p.m.

After breaking the previous record at just after noon on Thursday, Hall will have added 26 hours to the record for a total of almost 146 hours.

“He is still mentally and physically well but he decided that 2 p.m. would be a good time to come out,” said Tina Fuller, Hall’s girlfriend.

This is the third time Hall has set the record. His first accomplishment came in 2002 when he spent 71 hours, 39 minutes and 40 seconds underwater at South Holston Lake and broke his own record by spending 120 hours, one minute and nine seconds below the surface of Watauga Lake in Hampton. Hall has said this is his final attempt.

There will be a  celebration Saturday at the Lake View Dock with live music, items for raffle, a BBQ competition, and a Meet and Greet with Jerry Hall.

All the proceeds will benefit the Bristol Chapter of the Speedway Children’s Charities. For more information got
