Let Niswonger Performing Arts Center entertain  you with new season

The Niswonger Performing Arts Center (NPAC) in Greeneville has announced its  2013-2014 season schedule, which includes a little something for everyone.

“This season’s lineup features 30 performing artists and theatrical productions including touring stage performances of ‘A Christmas Carol’ and ‘The Fantasticks,’ international entertainment such as the London-based Swingle Singers and Moscow Festival Ballet, and great musical artists such as REO Speedwagon and Kellie Pickler  — this season’s winner of ‘Dancing with the Stars,’” said Tom Bullard, executive director of NPAC.

Marc Broussard will open this year’s season on Sept. 20. Broussard is an artist with a unique gift of channeling the spirits of classic R&B, rock and soul into contemporary terms. Since releasing his independently recorded debut album in 2002 at age 20, he has been catapulted onto the national touring stage. His music has also been placed in multiple television shows and movies.

Show time for Broussard’s concert  is 7:30 p.m.

Other artists set to perform this season at NPAC include Al Jarreau, Michael McDonald, Broadway by Jeri, Lorrie Morgan, Hungarian State Folk Ensemble, The Spencers: Theatre of Illusion, Jeremy Camp, Amy Grant, Aaron Tippin, Little River Band, Jars of Clay and Mercy Me. 

The Motown Experience will close out the season on May 17, 2014.

Individual and season tickets for the entire 2013-2014 season will be available beginning Aug. 19. Tickets may then be purchased online at www.npacgreeneville.com, by phone at (423) 638-1679 or in person at the box office.

Individual ticket prices range from $15 to $65, depending on the performance and seating area.  Season tickets are available in the orchestra or mezzanine levels for $950 each or in the balcony level for $675 each.

Guests may receive additional discounts and benefits by becoming an individual or corporate partner.

The Niswonger Performing Arts Center is a regional performing arts center located in historic downtown Greeneville, adjacent to Greeneville High School.  Since opening in December 2004, NPAC, which contains 1,110 seats, has hosted hundreds of concerts and events.
