Former Sullivan South pitcher Tristan Archer has officially signed with Milwaukee and been added to the Helena (Mont.) Brewers roster.
The Brewers selected Archer on June 8 in the 21st round of the Major League Baseball first-year amateur player draft, sending him to the Single-A Pioneer League.
After graduating from South, the 6-foot-3, 165-pound right-handed pitcher played four seasons for Tennessee Tech. He tallied 23 wins, going 9-4 this past season. He was an All-Ohio Valley Conference first-team selection his senior season in Cookeville.
Helena opens the Pioneer League season on Thursday with a road game against the defending league champion Missoula Osprey.
