The Flag Day ceremony at Netherland Inn included a flag detail provided by Sons of the Confederate Veterans under the leadership of John Byington.
First off let me say sorry for not getting to the flag raising ceremony for Flag Day at Netherland Inn. There were just too many
events going on at the same time and I have to go where the paper sends me. However, thanks to Carolyn Allen there are a few photos from the event have been posted.
The Flag Day ceremony included a flag detail provided by Sons of the Confederate Veterans under the leadership of John Byington. According to Netherland Inn officials, the event was made possible by Precision Electric of Kingsport. “Their generosity allowed the Inn to finally acquire the spotlights and timer which are required when flying our flag continuously. The
Steering Committee of the Inn is very grateful to Precision for their patriotic
gift,” the folks at Netherland Inn said.
