June 15th, 2013 6:30 pm by Deborah Ince, Knoxville News Sentinel

A crash on East Andrew Johnson Highway in front of Russellville Elementary School in Hamblen County killed one and injured two others, according to the Morristown Police Department.

Three vehicles were involved in the wreck that was reported Friday at 7:19 p.m.

A Chevrolet pickup driven by Jerry Sutton of Morristown was traveling westbound on 11-E when it struck a semi rig driven by Jimmy Fergerson of Bean Station head-on traveling eastbound.

The tractor-trailer then jack knifed and struck a third vehicle. The semi rolled onto its side and pinned the third vehicle underneath, instantly killing the third vehicle’s driver.
