DANCES

Contra Dance in Jonesborough

The Historic Jonesborough Dance Society will host a contra dance at 7:30 p.m., June 15 at the Historic Jonesborough Visitors Center. A half-hour workshop for beginners will start at 7 p.m. Performing will be Andrew Finn Magill and David Brown, with Kristin Seibert as the evening’s caller. Fourth Friday Dancers

The Fourth Friday Dancers will host a dance June 28 at the Historic Jonesborough Visitors Center. Line dancing lessons will be offered from 6:30 to 7 p.m., with the dance following from 7 to 10 p.m. Music will be provided by Steve and Nancy. Cost is $6. Call (423) 952-0772.

TN Dancers’ Monthly Social

The TN Dancers will host their monthly social on July 27 at the Jonesborough Visitors’ Center. Dance lessons for couples and line dancers will be held from 7 to 8 p.m., followed by an open dance from 8 to 10 p.m. Admission is $6, or $4 for students. Light dinner refreshments will be served. SingleVision Putt-Putt

First Broad Street United Methodist Church’s SingleVision will host a game of miniature golf with Joyce Manis at 6:30 p.m., June 13 at the Putt-Putt Course, 346 W. Stone Drive, Kingsport. Cost is $3 for both courses. The card game Hand and Foot will be played after putt-putt. Call (423) 245-7734.

SingleVision Genealogy Program

First Broad Street United Methodist Church’s SingleVision will host a basic genealogy program with Charlotte Dade, an instructor at the Kingsport Senior Center, on June 17 in Room L44 of the church’s Wesley Wing. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. at a cost of $6; reservations are required by noon, June 14 by calling (423) 224-1502. SingleVision Walk and Dinner

First Broad Street United Methodist Church’s SingleVision will meet for a walk on the Greenbelt at 6:30 p.m., June 24 in the lower PetSmart parking lot off of Eastman Road. Meet at Salsarita’s after the walk at 7:45 p.m. Call (423) 246-1727.

Preston Hills Singles Cinema

Preston Hills Presbyterian Church, 4701 Orebank Road, Kingsport, sponsors a singles group that meets for a free movie the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. The classic movie for June 11 will be “The Jackie Robinson Story.” The movie for June 25 will be “Live to Forgive.” Potluck dinner is at 6 p.m., and show time is 7 p.m. both nights. TriState Singles Picnic

TriState Singles will host a picnic at 4:30 p.m., June 29 at Shelter No. 8 at the Eastman Recreational Center. Hot dogs and paper products will be provided. Guests should bring their own drinks and a dish to accompany hot dogs.
