Police: Johnson City man dealt stolen infant formula at local consignment shops

Infant formula stolen from Johnson City grocery stores was sold at local consignment shops, according to charges filed against a Johnson City man.

Timothy S. Gessel, 28, 512 Swadley Road, Apt. 76, was arrested Tuesday after an investigation into formula stolen from area retailers, police said.

Gessel went into area grocery stores, concealed large amounts of infant formula and later sold the formula at various children’s consignment shops, police said.
